On January 17th 2025, IYC Gibraltar’s Shanti Susanna Alman and local musician and record producer Denis Valerga launched a CD titled ‘Spreading the Light-The total Series’ at the Garrison Library in Gibraltar.
The CD comprises 15 tracks and the idea of this whole venture was the vision of Shanti who recorded fragments of lyrics and music that came to her during the summer of 2008. She recorded these herself with a camera and approached her friend Denis for help to translate them into tracks for a CD. Several friends and colleagues joined Shanti and Denis on this venture over the years and the medley of voices is a joy to listen to.
Each track tells a story and the whole CD aims to heal, uplift and inspire. One of the 15 tracks-‘Total Heaven’ took the 1st prize at the Gibraltar music festival in 2014.
The CD is priced at £10 and all proceeds are being donated to the Integral Yoga Centre Charity in Gibraltar and the SIS Charity in Spain.
