Beginners

The Integral Yoga Hatha Beginners class includes yoga poses (asanas), breathing practices (pranayama), deep relaxation (yoga nidra), chanting and meditation. The class is adapted to suit everyone with a variety of props provided to aid individual practice.

Mixed Ability

The Integral Hatha Yoga Mixed Ability class combines elements of the beginners and intermediate level class routine where some new poses are introduced and traditional poses and breathing techniques are expounded in greater depth.

Intermediate

The Integral Hatha Intermediate level class introduces more challenging poses in addition to the traditional sequence. Poses are held for longer periods of time, flowing one into the other with less periods of rest between.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga has all the benefits of regular yoga – stretching, toning, strengthening and calming body and mind – with the use of a chair as support. This makes it accessible to those who have certain injuries, disabilities or health issues, or who may not feel confident getting down onto a mat. Chair Yoga classes can be tailored to suit the needs of individual students according to any limitations or strengths they may have. A chair yoga class starts with centering, followed by the asanas (seated and standing according to ability) and ending with pranayama, deep relaxation and meditation.

Prenatal Yoga

The Integral Yoga Prenatal class is a holistic class that focuses on creating a nurturing space for mummies-to-be to practice yoga safely by modifying asana according to the needs of each individual and trimester. The session includes specific breathing practices, creative visualization and deep relaxation techniques that embody the essence and spirituality of motherhood.

Yoga for Children

In the Integral Yoga Children’s class, attendees develop self-awareness through a variety of yoga poses, breathing techniques, relaxation and creative visualization techniques; games, music and stories. The classes are planned with an aim to provide a fun and safe space for children to relax and listen to their bodies with love and respect. The activities encourage children to safely notice and share their feelings and behaviour whilst exploring relationships and their positive contribution to their world.
